Placeholders

The modular PlaceholderAPI expansion set.

The idea

Placeholders let scoreboards and chat show job stats. They are optional.

basics

Without PlaceholderAPI, jobs still work. Install it only if you want those strings.

Everyday

%modular_...% values are what staff put on holograms and tab lists.

Advanced

Advanced — you do not need this to get started.

Per-job and top-list placeholders are extra wiring.

PlaceholderAPI is an optional soft-dependency. When present, ModularJobs registers the modular expansion; it is unregistered on plugin disable.

Global placeholders

PlaceholderMeaning
%modular_joinedjobcount%Number of active progressions
%modular_jobs%Comma-separated plain job names
%modular_totallevels%Sum of levels across active progressions
%modular_maxjobs%Number of registered jobs
%modular_archivedjobs%Number of archived (left) progressions

Per-job placeholders

<param>_<job> where <job> is the job plain name (e.g. fisherman):

PlaceholderMeaning
%modular_level_<job>%Current level
%modular_experience_<job>%Current experience
%modular_maxexperience_<job>%Experience required for the next level / max
%modular_maxlevel_<job>%Job max level
%modular_name_<job>%Job display plain name
%modular_description_<job>%Job description (plain text)
%modular_isin_<job>%true / false if the player is in the job
%modular_canjoin_<job>%true / false if the player can join the job

When the player is not in the job: isin → false, canjoin → true, other params → empty string.

Example

You are level %modular_level_miner% in Miner (%modular_experience_miner% XP).
